Children at The Business and Economics Academy of Maryland, (BEAM) will be encouraged to be innovators and solve real world problems by thinking about opportunities as entrepreneurs. Children at The Academy will learn to work collaboratively to solve problems and create new solutions to problems in the community and around the world.

The school is established by a 501(c)3 organization made up of teachers, parents, and community groups to bring educational alternatives to children in Maryland.
